“Clients in London wanted the ease and convenience of being able to finish work on Friday, get into their weekend car and drive out of town,” says Tim. “Ironically, a lot of these clients would drive to the Cotswolds for the weekend, but they wanted to do it in their collectible car, not their everyday car.”

“That was our point of difference,” says Tim. “We were one of the first to offer secure storage in London to anyone who wanted to put their car with us. But although security has always been high on the agenda, it’s also about privacy and discretion. And all of the service offering that Windrush stands for.”

Under the careful leadership of Alastair Main, it operates like a concierge, car manager, and storage facility rolled into one. “We had some lovely feedback the other day,” says Tim. “I asked one of our London clients why they used Windrush – the reply? ‘Because you guys are my car experts – you look after the car better than I ever could!’ It’s always really humbling to hear comments like that but it’s exactly what we aim to do – look after each car as if it was our own.”
