How long have you worked at Windrush? From the first car we stored (mine) in 2004.
What did you do prior to Windrush? Managed logistics for Ferrari in Formula 1 and Ducati in Moto GP looking after the in-paddock hospitality units for title sponsor Philip Morris (Marlboro). As chief problem solver, it was stressful!
What does your job entail? Looking after the WCS team, our clients, and their cars. The buck stops with me.

What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? I love making people happy. Whatever it takes.
What do you like to do when you're not working? Fixing things, problem solving is in my DNA. Also, driving a tractor or digger where I allow myself to 'zone out' and chill.
Favourite work memory? That's a tough one as I honestly love what I do and have so many. I know it sounds corny but honestly if the client is happy and the team are happy I am happy. Gun against my head I would say probably the day I decided to leave London and make it a full time 'job' in 2009 - still feels like a dream now.
What was your first car? 1974 Land-Rover Series III. Marine Blue. No radio, diesel and cruise control was a wooden stick, at a mighty 55 mph (yes arctic trucks cruised past at 56mph on the motorway).
Current car? VW Golf R, love it. Does everything really well. Fast, great handling, 4wd, comfortable and adaptive suspension. Acceptable anywhere.
What is your dream car? McLaren F1. Man, I love these. The technology back in 1995 was like a spaceship, gold plating in the engine bay, but somewhat understated in design when compared to some of the exotic supercars of today. This is the modern holy grail of the

How long have you worked at Windrush? Since its birth, some would say that’s too long when working with your husband.
What did you do prior to Windrush? People find it hard to believe I was a city banker structuring commercial property finance for nearly 10 years before quitting and heading to work on an estate in Oxfordshire. I enjoyed going back to my country roots, but later joined Windrush.
What does your job entail? Numbers, numbers, and more numbers!

What’s your favourite thing about working at Windrush? Being able to raid Lachlan’s treasure cove of goodies for my truck… and of course, working with a fun team.
What do you like to do when you're not working? Dogs! Anyone who knows me well will know I’m never far from my black labs.
Favourite work memory? Probably having my truck fully detailed by the Windrush team was a special moment…she has never looked so sparkly.
What was your first car? Peugeot 106 Mardi Gras in electric blue… looking back at her she really was like a Baked Bean can on wheels, but she had a sunroof, happy days.
Current car? VW Amarok, absolutely love her.
What is your dream car? Mercedes G-Wagon AMG in matt black.

What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? Meeting the range of interesting and diverse people who use our services and dealing with probably the finest collection of cars in the UK. I also enjoy working with such a close-knit and professional team across the business, and among our trusted suppliers.

Favourite work memory? There are so many. But some lovely early morning drives across London having collected a client's beautiful Ferrari 365 2+2 springs to mind.
What was your first car? Citroen Saxo (with a massive 60 bhp no less).
Current car? BMW X5 for family duties and a rather tired, but much loved 2006 BMW 330i Touring for commuting and street parking.
What is your dream car? A mint B7 RS4 Avant with ceramic brakes, or if I didn't have to be practical, a Porsche 911 (997.2 C4 specifically!)

How long have you worked at Windrush? Since the start of February 2025.
What did you do prior to Windrush? I graduated with a 1st class Industrial Design degree and was sponsored by Audi through my final year. Through my final year project—a sprinting shoe made from carbon fibre and Kevlar developed with future Olympians—I was offered my first role in technical footwear. I spent 20 years in the footwear industry, traveling extensively to visit factories, trade shows, and sales launches around the world.
What does your job entail? Working with fantastic clients and amazing cars. I ensure some of the most exclusive, rare, and individual cars are prepared to be used at a moment's notice.

What does your job entail? Working with fantastic clients and amazing cars. I ensure some of the most exclusive, rare, and individual cars are prepared to be used at a moment's notice.
What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? Our clients are fascinating people, and the team is experienced and passionate about what we do and really into cars themselves. No day is the same, from working up close with some of the world's rarest cars to ensuring they're where they need to be when required.
What do you like to do when you're not working? Living in West London, I enjoy the capital's restaurants, exhibitions, and music scene. I'm passionate about travel, seeking sunshine in summer and Alpine mountains in winter. My active pursuits include cycling on my carbon gravel bike, skiing in Chamonix, and attending track days with friends. I also previously competed in Slalom Canoeing at a high level.
Favourite work memory? I'm amassing quite a few in a short time, but taking someone's pride and joy through our capital city is quite special, ensuring it arrives safely and on time. Most recently, it was a classic three-door Range Rover from the 1970s on a sunny day, driving through Park Lane and Notting Hill. It received many smiles, waves, and thumbs up from passersby.
What was your first car? A 1993 VW Golf 1.4 with around 60bhp, though it felt more like 30bhp. Driving through the Oxfordshire countryside required employing karting techniques, maintaining momentum once up to speed!
Current car? A BMW Z4 Coupé with one of BMW's last naturally aspirated straight-6 engines. It currently has 200,300 miles on the clock, and I haven't found another Z4 Coupé model with higher mileage yet.
What is your dream car? Good: BMW E46 M3 CSL—peak M3/M-Division. BMW won't manufacture another focused production car like it, with that build quality, weight-saving components, and distinctive induction howl.

Better: Porsche 992 GT3 with that naturally aspirated 4.0L engine, likely the last of its kind. It proves that evolution and refining a concept over many decades really works.

Best: I was going to say McLaren F1, but it seems Tim has already claimed that one! Perhaps I'll highlight the BMW V12 engine and the genius behind the concept, Gordon Murray, who also designed one of the most iconic McLaren F1 cars, the MP4, so clean and pure, proving form and function can truly coexist. It was raced by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. Murray's design/engineering ethos is even more relevant in this current era of car creation: put the driver first, use the most innovative materials, focus on lightweight construction, and, like his hero Bob Dylan, do things your own way.

John Corlett

How long have you worked at Windrush? I joined Windrush in April 2025.
What did you do prior to Windrush? I turned my passion into a career at 19, when I landed a dream job as a professional detailer for a Ferrari main dealer. After discovering a passion for people, I moved into sales, working for Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, MINI, and Audi over 12 years. I have now come full circle to my original passion—cars and people—which brought me to Windrush.
What does your job entail? Working as a storage team member at Windrush in the Cotswolds is about caring for our clients and their vehicles the way we'd want to be treated ourselves. Care, attention, transparency, and an eye for detail are paramount. From initial check-in to preparation for storage and maintaining condition, I ensure each vehicle starts on the button and looks as good—if not better—than when it arrived.

What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? The clients, the day-to-day variation, and the diversity of vehicles we care for. No two days are the same, but it's always interesting. It's a privilege to work for a company that truly values its employees as much as its clients.
What do you like to do when you're not working? I enjoy spending time with family and friends, caring for our two Dachshunds, and indulging in good food and drink. I'm passionate about road trips, motorsport events, sim racing, and clay pigeon shooting. When I'm not out and about, I'm usually tinkering with my own car or researching new detailing products and techniques—I'm never far from something car-related!
Favourite work memory? Impossible to choose just one, but driving a Veyron would be a highlight.
What was your first car? A purplish-blue 1996 VW Polo 1.2. It was terrible.
Current car? A MINI John Cooper Works named Rosie, after my late grandmother. A very special car for me.
What is your dream car? Impossible to pick just one, especially working where I do! If money were no object and I had to choose a two-car garage, I'd have an RS6 Avant as my daily driver and a 992 GT3 RS with the Weissach package for track days. But Rosie stays no matter what!RetryClaude can make mistakes. Please double-check responses.

What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? My favourite thing about at working at Windrush is the incredible variety of cars I get to work with, from super rare classics to the newer releases. I also enjoy the people side of it too, getting to know the clients, helping them out and working alongside a great team of colleagues which makes each day enjoyable and rewarding.
What do you like to do when you're not working? When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my family, taking my son to football (he plays for FC Battersea) watching Chelsea FC, socialising with friends and discovering the sheer amount of excellent places to eat and drink in London
Favourite work memory? Favourite work memory so far is seeming the Ferrari SP2 Monza in the flesh and getting to have a short ride in it! What a car!
What was your first car? First car was a Mini 850 in blue, with a matching blue recaro seat.
Current car? At the moment I don’t own a car, living in central London means it’s a whole lot easier to travel via public transport, however my last car was a BMW 325 Touring. Very sensible!
What is your dream car? My dream car would be an Audi RS6 Avant.

What does your job entail? Preparing some extremely interesting cars for some very special clients to be safely stored with us, and to be prepared to a perfect standard - not to mention having the cars prepared & ready to drive out at moment’s notice!

What's your favourite thing about working at Windrush? I think my favourite part of my job at Windrush has to be the sheer volume of rare & interesting cars and people I meet on a daily basis! I’ve met and heard some fantastic stories from some incredible people, not to mention some of the cars I’ve sat in. Cars I never thought I’d see in real life.
What do you like to do when you're not working? I love spending time with my Fiancée, we are very similar, and love going out for dinner trying new restaurants and going for evening walks together, Especially after a day at work. One of our favourite activities is getting in my car and going for a night time drive through the city listening to some old music, stopping to get a coffee and just being in each other company. I’m quite into my cars & music, my fiancée - photography & music. I often park us near the airport to sit in the car and listening to music with a hot drink while she photographs planes as they come in for landing.
Favourite work memory? I seem to better my favourite memory every day it seems. I would have to choose visiting the Morgan dealership with my manager Ali, picking up a plus 4 Morgan and cruising through London together listening to Sade with the roof down. That was quite the experience.
What was your first car? My first car was a well modified 2003 Mini Cooper S, the supercharged one - around 185bhp I believe, I think I actually got quite lucky to have such a cool little first car. Living in the sticks (Norwich) I had my fair share of B-Roads where it lived up to its go kart name!
Current car? I’m currently driving a 2005 Mercedes CL500 with the bullet proof 5l V8. Slightly thirsty driving in & out of London every day, but nothing compares to the hydraulic ABC air suspension. It’s like cruising in on a luxury cloud, a very fast luxury cloud.
What is your dream car? My dream car… this is a hard one, I’ve got a couple. I think best case scenario I’d love a perfect, super low mileage and full history example - 2005 CL65 AMG, in brilliant silver with a custom tanned interior. I believe it was the fastest car in the world on its release, with its 6l twin turbo V12. I remember watching Jeremy Clarkson review it on Top Gear, he was whispering to the camera at 150mph to show how well built & quiet the cabin was at speed! I love a long journey, especially driving myself & my fiancée to France, I think it would be the perfect big body lazy grand coupe, still capable of keeping up with anything else on the roads, and doing it in comfort!

A very close second that would be a SLS 63 AMG in a lovely metallic brown, again with a lovely tan interior. As a daily driver, I think I would just enjoy the large, powerful V8 in such a low slung, sleek model - of course with the gull-wing doors to set it off.

I think my more unrealistic option would be a Koenigsegg Agera Spider, in metallic grey/ silver with the blue decals down the bonnet. I’ve always thought the car has such a scary element to it, well capable of over 300mph! At the same time it looks so angelic from the front end.
