On entering Windrush Car Storage
Every 14 days
Vehicles are rolled forwards or backwards every 14 days to rotate the pressure point on the tyres and bearings. This reduces the chance of ‘flat spotting’ these components. The drip tray is also inspected for any signs of fluid loss.
Every 60 days
Fluid levels and tyre pressures are inspected every 60 days. Vehicles are started up and placed on our indoor rolling road. The vehicle is then run for 15 minutes, lightly exercising mechanical components such as the gears, clutch and brakes. The engine temperature and oil pressure are monitored. We also check any electrical ancillaries such as electric windows, electric roofs, electric sunshine roofs and air conditioning. They are operated to maintain their condition. The vehicle is then returned to its parking bay, allowed to cool before it is re-connected to its battery conditioner and the car storage cover is re-applied.
